1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Story & Fame collects, uses, shares, protects and retains personal data when you visit the Website, submit an enquiry, book the studio, make a payment, register as a creator/freelancer, or otherwise interact with us online.
2. Personal data we may collect
Depending on how you use the Website, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organisation/brand, project brief, booking date/time, package and add-ons, payment/order references, messages, portfolio/social profile links, professional details, IP/device/browser information, cookie choices and basic Website usage information.
3. Payment data
Online payments may be processed by Cashfree or another payment service provider shown at checkout. Payment providers may collect payment instrument and authentication information directly. We may receive transaction identifiers, amount, payment status and limited payment metadata needed to reconcile a booking, but we do not intentionally collect or store card CVV, UPI PIN, OTP or equivalent authentication credentials.
4. Why we use personal data
We use personal data to respond to enquiries; recommend services; check studio availability; create and administer bookings; process and reconcile payments; provide production or marketing services; communicate project updates; manage creator/freelancer opportunities; prevent fraud or misuse; maintain security; comply with legal/accounting obligations; and, where permitted, understand Website performance and improve our services.
5. Consent and communications
Where processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent for future processing by contacting us. Service communications necessary for an enquiry, booking, payment or active project are different from optional marketing communications. You can ask us to stop optional promotional communications at any time.
6. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies may be used to operate security, forms, booking and payment functionality. Non-essential analytics or marketing technologies should run only in accordance with your cookie choices where consent is required. See our Cookie Policy and use “Cookie settings” in the footer to review your choice.
7. Sharing and processors
We may share personal data with service providers that help us operate the Website and deliver requested services, such as hosting, email, payment processing, analytics, production collaborators and professional advisers, only as reasonably necessary. We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or lawful governmental request, or to protect legal rights and security.
8. International processing
Some technology providers may process data using infrastructure outside your state or country. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers and arrangements consistent with applicable data-protection requirements and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.
9. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including active enquiries/projects, booking administration, accounting/tax records, dispute handling, security and legal obligations. Creator profiles may be retained while relevant for collaboration opportunities, subject to your request for deletion and applicable legal requirements.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Website and data. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request information about personal data we process about you, correction or updating of inaccurate data, deletion/erasure where applicable, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request and may retain information where law requires it.
12. Children
The Website is not designed to collect personal data directly from children for independent commercial transactions. Where a production involves a minor, we expect the parent, lawful guardian or authorised representative to provide necessary permissions and information. We do not knowingly use children’s personal data for targeted advertising.
13. Grievance / privacy contact
For privacy questions, consent withdrawal, correction/deletion requests or grievances, contact shreyas@portalwiz.com with the subject “Privacy Request”. We will review the request and respond in accordance with applicable law.
14. Legal framework
We intend this policy to support compliance with applicable Indian privacy and information-technology law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules brought into force from time to time. Because commencement dates and compliance obligations can phase in, this policy may be updated as requirements become applicable.
15. Updates
We may update this policy as our services, vendors or legal obligations change. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
